SHINING

Experimental Design  |  Typography

Using a combination of copper pipe and reflective plexiglass, this set of house numbers is inspired by transforming raw construction materials into a piece of work that is timelessly sophisticated, featuring a compelling contrast between colors and a metallic finish.

I created a typographic grid system to design the entire set of numbers using only a few modules. All copper pieces were carefully calculated and measured before being bent and cut by hand. Holes were drilled on the sides of the copper pipes to allow the plexiglass to connect with other pieces. After all the parts were correctly assembled, the numbers were sanded and polished with metal wax.
